Brooklyn · Biology-first care for birth, postpartum & sleep

This city doesn't slow down for its newest parents. We do.

Nervous-system-led support for birth, postpartum, and infant sleep. In person across Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy and the surrounding areas, farther afield for some things. Virtual care everywhere else.

10+ years · 250+ families · Now in Brooklyn

Parenting here is its own animal

Nobody warns you a city this full can feel this lonely.

It starts long before anyone is sleeping. You are planning a birth and a fourth trimester with no nursery, no spare room, and no family fifteen minutes away. Then the baby arrives and the advice still does not fit your real life: recovering in a walk-up, the railroad apartment where the baby sleeps six feet from your bed because there is nowhere else, the shared wall and the worry that every cry travels straight to the neighbors. You are told to power through your recovery and let the baby cry it out in a thousand-square-foot floor-through, as if the walls were not paper and your whole body were not screaming no.

We work with the life you actually have, not the version in the books. Co-sleeping in tight square footage is a reality we plan around, not a failure we correct. Recovery with no village, the upstairs neighbor, the return to a job that does not bend, the comparison culture that makes everyone look like they have it handled. From the birth you are preparing for to the sleep that comes years later, we have done this with enough families to know the texture of it, and to know your instincts are good data, not the thing to override.

Partnered or a single parent by choice, we work with the family you are building, not the one everyone assumes.

We did not come to Brooklyn to plug into the way things are usually done.

We came to build something closer to how care should actually work: relationship first, biology over behavior, parents resourced instead of rescued. Threshold Circles are where that starts in this neighborhood. Everything else grows from there.
